This new middle school master plan and site design addresses the District’s desire for improved student experience, safety and security.
After dealing with the extreme terrain of the predevelopment borrow site, a creative approach was required to position and configure the building with a unique layout that includes outdoor classroom space for students and staff to engage with the existing wooded area. Our team created a master plan that encourages use by multiple classes ranging from robotics, visual arts and sciences. The space doubles as a gathering spot outside the dining and common areas. The overall site design also incorporated separation of bus and parent vehicular traffic while creating a safe, efficient and successful circulation system for the school.
