This new expansion doubles the size of this family-friendly zoo, providing new exhibits including giraffes, two tigers, spider monkeys, a splash pad, and several additional amenities.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, Confluence collaborated on this expansion to integrate a new Lincoln Public Schools education facility, new entry gates, additional parking areas and a gift shop. The design also incorporates an amphitheather, a naturalized runnel water feature, and a donor wall. Additional future exhibits are also integrated into the master plan, including a cheetah run and a performance lawn event space.
Zoo visitors now have opportunities to feed giraffes and interact with several larger animals. This expansion is anticipated to reinvigorate zoo attendance while attracting new guests to experience this unique visitor experience.
